Cascade Complete Product Review and $25 Walmart Giveaway {CLOSED}
Through my membership with My Blog Spark, I was given the chance to take the 24-Hour Challenge with Cascade Complete All-in-1 ActionPacs, thanks to P&G and My Blog Spark.
We have been loyal Cascade users in this house for many years. When I heard about a new product in the Cascade family that was supposed to be even tougher on food particles, I knew that I wanted to see this product in action.
According to the packaging, "Cascade Complete All-in-1 ActionPacs give you the confidence of a job done right. It breaks down, dissolves, and rinses away tough food particles without the need to pre-wash."
To put this product to the test, I filled my dishwasher with utensils covered in dried peanut butter, plates covered in macaroni & cheese sauce and a baking dish with dried au gratin potato residue. Most of these dishes had been sitting in the machine for 48 hours, so I knew this product was really going to have to live up to it's claims.
To my amazement, not only did every item come out clean as a whistle, but I didn't see any food particles anywhere. Normally, at least one of my peanut butter covered knives has something left on it. I'm definitely a believer in this product now!
I would definitely recommend that you check out this product in your local stores. As an incentive to do just that, I am offering a $25 Walmart giftcard to one of my readers! Here's the details on the giveaway.

Oh my! My worst stuck-on food disaster? But there are so many!! I think one of the worst is always baked pasta dishes. Anything with red sauce and cheese is definitely touch. BBQ sauce comes to mind though too!

The worst stuck-on food disaster was when some of my friends made lasagna. We went out later that night and forgot to leave some water in the dish so all the cheese and leftover lasagna was stuck and coated on.

One of my worst stuck-on food dishes is oatmeal. I believe once oatmeal has been allowed to dry on a dish, it forms a permanent seal. :-)
ReplyDeleteMy worst is always washing the dirty pans after cooking! Thanks for the chance to win!

I have more burned on disasters than stuck on disasters and man they suck! For stuck on I hate when we make nachos or something else that has lots of cheese and then forget to soak the pan. I can never figure out why the cheese is so darn hard to get off, but I find myself scrubbing and scrubbing and scrubbing and then going a little crazy :)

I hate cleaning the pan after I make lasagna.
ReplyDeleteabfantom at yahoo dot com
Lasagna caked to a pan is hard to scrape off.
ReplyDeleteI make cheesy potatoes and they always stick and leave a mess in the pan
ReplyDeleteLasagna is definitely the worst! I make my husband wash those :) We have to wash all of our dishes before we put them in the dishwasher which sort of defeats the purpose but I like to make sure they are really clean.
ReplyDeleteI also follow your blog!
ReplyDeleteMy worst stuck-on disaster was a huge pan of BBQ ribs that had baked for hours - it was like trying to remove tar to get the pan clean.

ReplyDeleteCrusty lasagna on the pan is absolutely the worst - it's impossible to scrub clean!

ReplyDeleteWe love lasagna but that is a stuck on food disaster. It is so hard to clean the pan afterwords.
ReplyDeleteChili with cheese is always a mess.
ReplyDeleteThere have been so many stuck on food disasters in my house!Probably the worst is when my husband left the pan I baked chicken in on the counter overnight without soaking it! Thought I would have to throw it away but was able to save it.

ReplyDeleteMy worst was a glazed pork loin - the glaze burned because one with the glass cooking pan which had to be thrown out.
ReplyDeleteMany years ago, I bought one of those big, thick, frozen pizzas. The package said that you could cook it directly on the rack if you wanted a crispy crust, so I did. I am not sure what I did wrong, but about 5 minutes into the cooking time, I smelled smoke and heard sizzling sounds, and opened the oven. The pizza had melted through the racks and was burning onto the floor of my oven.It was a HUGE stuck on mess to clean up.

ReplyDeleteWorst stuck on disaster was when I microwaved bologna, did several batches. It left a brown ring on the plat which did not come off. Had to hand wash later. I don't pre-rinse my dishes and usually don't have a problem. Have used Cascade many times over the years.
ReplyDeleteMy worst stuck on food disaster would have to be scrambled eggs. I got distracted while scrambling eggs for breakfast and soon the whole kitchen was filled w/smoke. It took quite some time for us to get fresh air and lots of soaking to get the burnt scrambled eggs off of our nonstick pan.

My worst stuck on food disaster was when I was cooking beans and forgot! We left the house, and were fortunate to have a house when we got home. Pot, not so good! Lots of soaking, scraping... still not so good (but at least usable)

The worst thing I think you can put in a dishwasher is corn meal. I learned the hard way to rinse VERY THOROUGHLY the bowl I use to make cornbread... If you don't, it just BAKES on to everything in the dishwasher!!

My worst "stuck on food" disaster was a burnt frying pan full of milk
ReplyDeleteI tend to leave pasta sitting in bowls after dinner and then I HAVE to soak everything before I put it in the dishwasher. But I was reading the other comments and I remembered what it was like to burn milk in a frying pan (I only do this once a year when I make a special soup for Christmas - but I burn it every year!)

my worst stuck on food comes when I bake something oozy or cheesy and then 'forget' to do dishes til the next day. I really need to be better about not leaving things in the sink!

ReplyDeleteThe plan was to start the dishwasher when we left for the weekend, but the door didn't shut all the way so it didn't start. Egg doesn't come off easily under the best circumstances, but this was just crazy! Steel wool and what seemed like forever is what it took to get the tines of the forks clean.
ReplyDeleteI make a fetticine recipe with spinach pesto. The combination of pasta, spinach and parmesan cheese always makes for hard to clean dishes.
ReplyDeleteMy worst stuck-on disaster was a lasagna it was very difficult to remove.

I would have to say it was the broiler pan. No amount of cleaning, chemicals or otherwise could get that off and I think we ended up throwing it out. Also we make green smoothies and if you don't get every speck of the green out of the glass before you put it in the dishwasher then it is never coming off. I don't understand that either. But oh well. We have learned that rinsing early and thoroughly is essential.
